Attend a Talk or Training

If you’re new to Transition, you might want to come along to an introductory Transition Talk, or attend one of our more in-depth Training workshops. We offer a range of training courses, materials and events that can support and develop your work with Transition. Two courses are readily available:

Volunteer

Everything we do depends on volunteers. We need your help to spread the word that a better way of life is possible, and to build practical and positive solutions that will inspire more people to get involved. The task ahead of us is huge, but together we can make a difference.

Please consider volunteering your time, skills and resources to your local Transition Initiative, or contact us to find out how you can support Transition US in core activities. A great place to start is by joining our social networking site.

Social Networking

A Social network is an online community where people can share interests and activities with others. Formats vary with different sites, but they all provide ways thatpeople can interact, such as through email, video, blogging, instant messaging and forums. It can be a very powerful tool for creating change.

We are building a comprehensive database of information and resources to share with the wider Transition community. To do this, we need your help. Please send us your articles, podcasts and videos, and we will make them available on a searchable database through our website. These can be “how to” guides, or news stories fromyour community. We’d also like to showcase your good work on our home page, through our news sections and our blog.

By actively contributing content to our site, you become part of an online community that shares ideas and solutions for creating a brighter future.

If you would like to interact with other people who are exploring the Transition model, then please visit our Ning pages. This is a social networking community that facilitates communication among people in Bloomington who are interested in learning about or implementing Transition.

Other Transition social networking sites can be found at Facebook and Wiser Earth. You will need to register at these sites, search on Transition Towns, and join the appropriate group.
